Switching Topics: Music

Everyone is a critic. I like anything (occasionally I'll tolerate country). Seems to be alot of bloggers come out with their top 100 albums of all time. I can say that I have a list of albums I can't live without or songs I have to hear everyday. I know when I was a MC Hammer junkie I wore out "Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em" so much that I bought the album 3 times!

These are the albums I cant live without (no particular order)

"Cleansing" by Prong- I went 6 months without this album and I went delirious.
"The Bleeding" by Cannibal Corpse- I saw these guys in concert after this album came out...they rock!
"Vulgar Display of Power" by Pantera- I still think this is their best album...it's a mood-breaker.
"Bloody Kisses" by Type O Negative- I used to play Black No. 1 every Halloween
"It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back" by Public Enemy- Chuck D is one of the best rappers of all time. I learned a lot of my black history from this album, since the public school system doesn't teach it.
"Master of Puppets" by Metallica- Real true Metallica before they eventually "sold out". Disposable Heroes is my favorite song as well as Cliff Burton's from what I have been told.
"De La Soul Is Dead" by De La Soul- I picked up this album while I was doing boot camp at Fort Jackson,SC. I think it is better than "3 Feet High and Rising".
"Demanufacture" by Fear Factory- I am so glad these guys decided to make a comeback! I saw these guys with Sepultura on the day Kurt Cobain killed himself.
"Beneath the Remains" by Sepultura- This was their best album. It will rock your socks off!
"World Demise" by Obituary- My younger brother won tickets to see these guys by accident. Lucky guy!

This list is not complete, I'm sure I'll be adding a few more albums as time goes on!

I know Cal Ulmann has a blog entitled "Where Libertarianism and Hip-Hop Meet". I know there are a few hip-hoppers that spout libertarian-minded messages and don't realize it.

Welcome to the Black Side

I figured since all my political friends all have blogs, I better get to 2005 and have one of my own!

I'm from Springfield IL, just moved from Effingham,IL via Denver Colorado. I will be attending the University of Illinois at Springfield in the fall. I can't wait. I will be double majoring in political studies/history and a minor in economics.

I am married to a wonderful woman. Some days I wonder how she can cope with me. She's also going to school. She will be attending LincolnLand Community College in the fall to finish up her Teacher's Aide Certificate. She also has a better GPA than I do. She's smarter than she realizes. She also has helped me restore my faith in God. In return, she votes and knows who to vote for. I love you, babe! (She'll be reading my blog)

Many people know that I enjoy music and politics. I don't hide that I am a member of the Libertarian Party. I do however get a lot of responses like "I should abandon my extremist ways and join the Democrats". I was a Democrat before the Great Conversion! I saw that Democrat pimp the black vote and Republicans give lip service to blacks. Libertarians want to cut the bonds of slavery and free everyone. I have this saying, "Slavery was never abolished, it was expanded!"

Who sees my paycheck before I do? The Federal and State Government and Social Security (which is a ponzi-scheme) The Cato Institute did excellent research on Social Security and the feds doll out SS not by wages earned but by life expectancy. Minorities and low wage earners really get the shaft in this ponzi-scheme. African-American males are at the lowest of the totem-pole. We get only 30-35 percent of what we put in! Our life expectancy as of 2004 is 68 years old. You don't think it's stressful being a black male in this country. Think again! 75 percent of the prision population in Illinois is BLACK. 49 percent of the prision population nationwide is BLACK. 74 percent of cocaine users are WHITE which 70 percent of those charged with cocaine possession is BLACK. One out of 6 BLACK males in this country can't vote because of prior felonies. There are more BLACK women in college than BLACK males. No one talks about the plight of the BLACK man. Okay maybe the far-leftist groups talk about these things but their political involvement is so miniscule in American politics that they will never be heard. This is where I think the Libertarian Party can gain some ground.

I personally think the justice system is racist, sexist and provides justice for those who can afford to buy themselves freedom. I also believe because of this we are forming a new segregation policy in this country.

Before anyone gets any fresh ideas, I am married to a white woman and I have a white step-daughter and my step-father is white, so I'm not a racist by any means!

Have a great weekend!
